Despite this, there were still pockets of resistance where gaming houses existed secretly in certain cities such as London or Venice. People gambled at these establishments during their leisure time while they enjoyed music, food, drink and other forms of entertainment.
Today, thanks to advances in technology, we are able to play casino games online without leaving home.
